Lauren Holliday got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design the futures of internships for freelanship.com
Check out Lauren Holliday's Logo design contest…
Freelanships provide: •Students with inexpensive major-related work experiences that don’t require them to commit to a full-semester internship •Companies with a fresh perspective (Millennials are now the largest, most diverse generation in the U.S. population), quality services, expanded audience and help them stay up-to-date with current technologies. •Educational Institutions with an increased ROE (Return on education)

http://freelanship.com The Story Behind Freelanship In 2012, the concept for Freelanship.com came to life, when Holliday was in a bad predicament. She needed major-related work experience, but her parents said, “No more internships.” Managing four classes, an internship and freelance work was difficult enough; now, Holliday’s father wanted her to add a job into an already chaotic schedule. It seemed unfeasible. As a student, Holliday’s goal was to snag amazing portfolio pieces for future job interviews, but all she heard from editors was: -We don’t hire freelancers. -We have to give you something in return, i.e. internship credit #BusinessProblems As a Millennial and companies’ future consumer, Holliday does not feel as though companies understand what she wants. That’s a big problem for companies. How do they market and sell to the largest and most diverse generation in the U.S. population? #StudentProblems Students can find internships on websites, such as Internqueen.com, indeed.com, Monster.com, etc. Freelancers can find freelance work on elance.com, freelancer.com, and the like. The problem is that the listed opportunities are: • Highly competitive • Cost hundreds of dollars, and • Aside from adding a line to a blank resume, the experiences and skills learned are not verified. Students had two options: 1. Pay their university hundreds of dollars for an experience opportunity, which may not teach them anything more than how to run coffee. 2. Don’t intern, add nothing to their resume and remain unemployable. Freelanship.com seeks to capitalize on the opportunity to connect companies, which need free and/or low-cost work (on a project-by-project basis) and fresh insight, with student freelerns (project-based interns), who want and need major-related work experience. The Student’s Solution: Freelanships, i.e. flexible, project-based internships Not only does Freelanship.com provide an alternative internship experience for students, who do not have time for the typical, internship commitment, but it also offers students a new-type of networking connection. • Flexible, inexpensive, less time-consuming project-based internships • ONLY VALUABLE projects listed/offered • Increased industry network connections The Company’s Solution: Freelanship.com is the future of internships Freelanship.com provides businesses with an easy and cost-effective way to: • Get projects done by quality, cost-effective freelance interns • Create a talent pipeline • Manage interns and projects • Increase its market size o How? For example: Sally is a UCF student, who has 1500 Facebook friends & 1,000 Twitter followers. She is YOUR COMPANY’s future consumer, and she knows what her friends like and want. Sally writes a post for your blog, for instance. She is definitely going to share that article with her 2,500 social connections. Sally promotes herself, which in turn promotes you to an audience you cannot reach. (That’s the F-Factor: F for friends, fans and followers who influence a consumer’s buying decision)
