We sell high quality, luxury, organic bed linen - with a focus on accessible pricing. Bed sheets have a modern, clean and simple feel (think pure, crisp, soft in terms of language around the sheets). The product is similar to companies like Boll and Branch, Brooklinen, Parachute etc. Styles are focused on being classic so unfussy and focused on a natural colour palette (not floral, chintz etc sticking with a basic colour palette of white, taupe, blue and grey predominantly).
The brand aims to expand more broadly to homeware therefore the logo needs to allow for this flexibility. The design should be original and appear 'fresh', and whilst this is for a bed linen brand given the expansion potential we would prefer to move away from depictions of beds per see - but creative ideas most welcome. The general thesis is that we spend 1/3 of our times in our beds and want a high quality sleep experience, good quality bed sheets you don't have to pay the earth for should be part of this for everyone.
The name 'The Nod' comes from the british concept of 'nodding off' i.e. falling asleep.
The target audience will be focused on the UK market and are those who want luxury quality but not the luxury prices that bed linen manufacturers charge (people who might have considered Frette, Pretesi but were priced out but want something more than The White Company or department stores).
The product range includes fitted sheet, flat sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers currently.
The aim is for the bed linen to be gender neutral as male buyers are a key target category. The general target age is between 25-45 years old, and will be either renters or buyers who are interested in the look and feel of their bedroom (believe the sleep experience matters) and think not just about quality but also the story behind their sheets (organic, free from pesticides etc). They would be more urban (with a touch of hipster) who want a clean design aesthetic.
