The logo is our most important feature on our website and all of our marketing material, but also the most challenging one to create. At our core, we are similar to other companies like Visiting Angels or Home Instead. We differ in our expanded scope beyond just caregiving, professionalism, quality of hires, and company genetics. These companies are very lackluster and dull. We want to be the Apple of this industry. We are more innovative with a greater vision. Yet, we are still a home care company at our core. We need to feel warm and professional first, sophisticated and innovative second.
I would like it to have presence and be interesting, but not too busy. I think it needs to have a house (homey feeling), a path, and maybe another element to show we are warm, compassionate, but professional and discreet. I've included examples I like but I really love creative people who can take something and run with it.
UPDATE: Originally I had wanted 3 elements included in my design: a house, a path leading to the house, and hands/arms and possibly something encircling the design to make if feel inclusive and warm. I think the hardest element is the path. I really wanted a path because our whole mission is to provide services to those who need some extra help so that they can go along their life journey feeling fulfilled in their conquests and feeling like they have purpose. We are here to help them and guide them (path leads you home) as they need. I understand the path is difficult without looking too gimmicky. I've searched for logos with paths and realize there aren't too many out there that are what I would want.
I'm open to all designs with different perspectives, but the ones that seem to capture the essence of our company usually have a house in them somewhere. We are in the caring industry--it's our whole business model. I would like to say that with a picture. I prefer symbols, images, and objects. I would like to stay away from using people if possible.
