I had Fray do some logo work for me. He is very professional and his mixture of creativity and practicality was perfect for logo and business card design. Additionally, he was very prompt with getting back to me on thoughts and design changes. We probably traded over 20 emails to get the design just right and he was very receptive to all of the changes I wanted made. Fray is a great designer, I highly recommend!
Thank you for your efforts, the team really like the new logo.
How cai2r.cloudMR started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The logo is for a web platform (Cloud MR) that serves as a portal to launch research software applications (open source) to simulate different aspects of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Once the users log into their accounts they see the list of available applications and choose the one they need. For example, they could launch an application to design a radiofrequency coil and simulate the corresponding electromagnetic field, or another application to simulate the reconstruction of MR images with different contrasts, etc. The long term of the project is to provide a collection of tools that will allow people to conduct MRI research virtually, without the need to use an actual MR scanner. Cloud MR is accessed via a web-based graphic user interface (GUI) consistent for all applications, whereas the computational tasks (called from the GUI) will be executed in the cloud (that's the reason for the name), using either a server dedicated to the project or pay-per-use cloud computing services. Cloud MR is still under development, but the temporary homepage can be seen here: http://cloudmrhub.com
The new logo would replace what's now visible at the link above and will be used in other locations and for powerpoint presentations, etc. (Note that the colors should be those specified in this design contest, not those of the current temporary logo in the homepage).
