PatrickO'Neil got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design for a company that keeps our air clean and healthy

BlueSky Resources is a services company which provides Energy & Industry clients with access to air quality and emissions data. They do this by curating and sourcing commercially available data, harmonize (combine) with proprietary data to enable accurate air quality and emissions readouts. Their goal is to reduce emissions leaks and improve air quality. Target audience is fairly corporate: Industrial companies, non-profits and industry consultants.
We seek a logo which clearly depicts “BlueSky Resources” or at the very least “BlueSky” (One word, B and S are capitalized) We are open to the use of icons or symbols to depict the industries we serve (such as a factory) or the solution BlueSky provides (cleaner emissions and better air quality). Other design inspirations to consider: Cloud (cloud-based software, as well as a nod to “sky”) Satellite icons (used to monitor emissions) Sun to depict clean emissions / clear skies Globe to represent global data + coverage, as well as the Earth we aim to save. Data as an abstract representation of data or information we provide and aggregate for clients Color Palate: Blue as a primary color is an obvious choice. A complimentary color that works in a corporate environment is also requested. Gray, green and yellow feel like clean & natural accent colors.
