Design a Chill Logo for a Mental Health App for High Schoolers

Positivly is an online community of students, teachers, and counselors dedicated to creating a safe space for high school students to explore mental health. Students can find stories from their peers and share their own journey through our mobile app, as well as participate in in-person workshops and writing exercises in their school.

We're looking for a wide variety of concepts and treatments, so we hope you'll have fun with this! Positivly is intended to be a safe, creative place with chill vibes that teens will feel comfortable sharing in and spending time with. Our current research is pointing us to a darker treatment of the app, using lots of purples and blues, with salmon/pink highlights. Ideally, we'd like a logo concept that fits well with the name of the app, but we're trying to stay away from "toxic positivity", so something that's not overly in-your-face that works well with the calming colors and imagery we're using would be a perfect fit. Also, we definitely need something simple that works well at small sizes and can be used as an app icon. Please feel free to play with both logo type and logo marks. Some form of logo mark will need to be used in a square app icon format, so please keep that in mind when designing. Please try to stay away from highly complex graphics that can't be simplified to one or two colors, or isn't readable at small sizes. Attached is the branding direction we're currently exploring, but please don't feel like what you make has to align to this. Again, what we're hoping to get out of this is a wide variety of concepts to make sure we're headed in the right direction!
