This time you'll be faced with a CH that's also a graphic designer like you. (That's the challenge xD)
To be honest, I'm absolutely rubbish at making logos when I'm also the client (yes I know, shame on me). So, your work will be invaluable and very appreciated.
But anyway, about the logo:
The name "La Pinada" references to the specific area the coffee grows in, so ideally the logo will relate to it. Specific characteristics about the place:
It's high up, so it´s cold (though the temperature is not low enough to snow, so avoid representing it that way).
It's a mountainy area.
It's populated mainly with pine trees (for reference, you can do an image search of "mexico pine trees" to see the specific kind of trees you can find there).
We had this idea of three coffee leaves placed in such a way that references a mountain. But it's not a requirement for the logo, go nuts, explore whatever you like. Just avoid going for the traditional coffee grain, please.
We want something unique that relates directly to the characteristics of the coffee and how it's grown.
DO´s and DON'T's
About the colors, because we want to represent our eco-friendly nature, green or brown are preferred. But we are completely open to suggestions, so if you think other alternatives would work better it's up to you.
About the shapes, absolutely avoid doing geometric logos, we want something more organic and overly geometric logos look too cold-unfeeling.
About the fonts, we'd prefer if you could explore using script/handmade looking type. Could be a serif font but only if it doesn't make the logo look ancient, we still want to reference that our product is fresh/newly made. Or if you do lettering, also cool.
About the logo, aside from a full color version. I would like to see how the logo looks completely flat, just one color, that'll be key to making the final choice.
That´s all I think. If you need any more info or have some questions, let me now.
