Who are you known as?
Dave's Gourmet, but logo can also be a symbol to be used by itself (think Apple).
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Dave's Gourmet's produces innovative premium specialty food items and sells them all over the U.S. and in several foreign countries. They have dozens of awards and mentions on/in The Today Show, The New York Times, Good Morning America, The Food Network and more.. Dave's Gourmet began with spicy items that had humorous or upbeat packaging. The company has developed into a diversified specialty food company, that includes Organic pasta, and cooking sauces. What makes Dave's Gourmet special is the way they use fresh specialty ingredients, unique flavors and then add a slightly different perspective to it.
Dave's Gourmet's customers include gourmet stores, gift shops, grocery stores, catalogs, restaurants, mail order and online consumers. It is important to note that Dave's has two different brands and this logo is for the overall company and for the pasta sauce brand. The hot sauce brand (Dave's Insanity) has its own separate look and feel.

Create a new company logo that represents the company overall and its pasta sauce brand (which will eventually include other types of specialty food). The logo should be simple, stylized, gourmet, and contemporary. It should be memorable and not generic, but also not overly busy or complicated.
When people see the brand Dave’s Gourment they should know they are getting something that tastes fantastic, uses the best ingredients, that are fresh, organic where possible, innovative, non GMO and free of additivies.
Illustration imagery can be part of the layout – yet logo needs to balanced with all elements working together.
Three or four strong concepts – Do not want multiple pages of the same logo with tweaks, but do expect a couple variations of each concept from which we can brainstorm and finalize.
