Laiza was creative, innovative and very accommodating to our feedback and requests. Great experience.

Its a great design. I really enjoyed the quick feedback loop with lots of back and forth of sharing ideas and new concepts.
Thank you for a great design. You were my first pick, but, I wanted some confirmation for my friends. Congratulations.
AssM was easy to work with and very responsive to requests for additional tweaks to the project design.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Dead reckoning is a data-driven technique for estimating a ship's position on the open sea. Early ocean navigators were arguably among the world's first applied data scientists in developing this approach. Even though dead reckoning has become obsolete with the advent of GPS, we believe it still provides a useful framework for developing predictive models in highly uncertain and difficult to measure contexts. At Dead Reckoning Analytics & Consulting our goal is to provide our clients with customized data science products tailored to meet their business and research needs. These solutions can range from data processing pipelines to automated report and dashboard generation to complete predictive analytics workflows that businesses can use to make data-driven decisions.
Here are some links that have different sorts of images related to sailing/navigation that I like.
Hope that helps get the juices flowing. If you have questions feel free to reach out. Thanks in advance for your efforts.
Also - obviously cannot take this logo, but I like the name and I like the logo and think there is a good mapping there for this data science company called Jumping Rivers: https://www.jumpingrivers.com/

Also a simple example of incorporating visual cues in the logo.
I like the layered look and again this is one where the name and the logo really seem to match up well.
Again simple, pleasant color profile.
I like the combo of the beaker and the building, and night sky. Abstract nature of the image also helps sell "dream" part of the DreamsLab
Just to have up here that certain distributions can have nice symmetrical properties - may be something that you can incorporate in something like ocean waves.
This compass here seems like it could provide a foundation for the logo. Not sure if it will work, but I can picture using the quadrants created by the North-South & East-West axes. As axes they could even be graphs or plotted data in space. Just some quick thoughts.
Dead Reckoning is a general navigation term but it is really just a way to frame the data science process. It is therefore more important that the logo emphasizes the data/modeling/statistics (check out
