Micah Diamond got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Custom knife collector in need of logo for social media profiles

I am a professional photographer who collects high-end custom knives and EDC gear (e.g. flashlights, pens, etc.). I share photographs of my knives and gear with other collectors and enthusiasts on Instagram and other social media platforms. View my profile here: https://www.instagram.com/knife2knowya/
Other color requirements
I'm open to a variety of color options. whatever color palette is used should be overtly masculine, as something like 90-95% of my followers on Instagram are male. DO NOT USE pink or any light pastel color (e.g. purple, teal, fuchsia, lime green, etc,) I intend to use your finished logo design as my Instagram profile image, so I'd suggest you open Instagram on your phone and click the Home icon at the bottom, then scroll through the stream of posts made by the people you follow and pay attention to their profile images as you scroll past to see which one's pop and standout the most through their use of color.
With nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram, it’s time I get myself a professionally designed logo to use as my profile image across social media platforms and elsewhere. Finding a logo that works as my profile photo on Instagram is of primary importance, as that’s where I share most of my images and where I have the largest following. The logo should be easily identifiable and should standout from the thousands of other user profile photos people encounter when they scroll through the endless river of posts on Instagram. The logo should also be usable in other venues as well besides Instagram (i.e. trade show badges, business cards, Facebook profile photo, email signatures, etc.). Instagram profile photos are cropped to fit a circle, so the logo you design should fit accordingly. I’ve always been a fan of clever logo designs that find ways to incorporate hidden messages (e.g. FedEx; Subway, LG, Amazon, etc.);… or ambigrams (words that read the same forwards and backwards);… or logos that incorporate one or more company initials into a single graphic that is somehow relevant (i.e. Baskin Robbins; Milwaukee Brewers; etc.). This Pinterest board has hundreds of examples of what I’m referring to: https://www.pinterest.com/battram24/smart-logos/ SPECIFIC DIRECTION FOR MY LOGO DESIGN: @knife2knowya - My Instagram username. If you can figure out some creative way to incorporate it into the logo, go for it! Even using some variation of “K 2 K” enclosed in the @ symbol and made to look like a camera, or a lens, or an aperture ring, a tripod, etc. If you think this approach is too literal or if the size restrictions of an effective Instagram profile photo limits this approach, then try something else! I don't want to force it. Photography - Finding some way to incorporate a photography-related graphic seems obvious (e.g. camera, aperture ring, lens, tripod, etc.)… Included in the ‘Resources’ for this contest are a handful of photography-related graphics I’ve pulled from a Google Image search that might give you some ideas. Knives - @knife2knowya is all about PHOTOGRAPHS of my KNIFE collection. So try to find a creative way to incorporate one or more knife graphics into the logo. **IMPORTANT NOTE: I don’t collect kitchen knives, or Rambo hunting knives, or Swiss Army knives, or machetes, or Buck knives, or Bowie knives, or butcher knives, or bayonets, etc. I only collect custom made ‘tactical folding knives’. The best place to get a sense of the kind of knives I collect is to visit my Instagram feed at https://www.instagram.com/knife2knowya/ . Don’t just do a Google Image search for ‘Knife Vector Graphic’ and use the first one that comes up.
