Cultured Ice Cream is made from fermented (cultured) coconut cream. It is dairy/gluten/sugar free and actively probiotic (being fermented with Kefir).
My health conscious and informed target market are looking for something that they and their kids are able to eat as a treat. They are vegan, paleo and/or have food sensitivities/intolerances. Or they are normal people like you and I who discover how delicious it is.
Other coconut based ice creams may have only a few probiotics, or none at all - while Cultured Ice Cream has billions. "Typically composed of Lactobacillus, Streptococcus, Pediococcus and Leuconostoc bacteria with good yeasts from Saccharomyces, Candida, Kloeckera and possibly other minor yeasts" (Sanchez-Penalveret al).
