Deep South EV
Deep South EV (EV = Electric Vehicles) is a small garage-based company that converts modern gasoline-fueled cars to all electric cars. We're on the Gulf Coast. Lazy beaches. Slow, un-congested life style. Good food. Good music. Like a Corona commercial but with domestic beer and a mellow Southern drawl. We're trying to convey the sense that local folks can make an impact on the local society and environment without the involvement of the government or The Big Three car companies.
We are targeting people who normally have a short daily commute (<20 miles) and want to kick the oil addiction. It is an emerging market for converting existing vehicles, as opposed to purchasing a new electric car. Take your favorite old car and give it an electric make over. A fraction of the fuel costs and none of the emissions.
Please avoid Southern cliche's like the "rebel flag" or Confederate references.
Consider combining electricity / lightning and antique / muscle cars. But that isn't a hard-requirement if you can make some other elements work.
We like clean, smooth lines. Not cluttered or confusing.
We are mechanics and engineers, not the least bit graphically talented. We know enough to know we don't know anything about visual design work or illustration. So we are open to bold, inspired suggestions. We hope you invoke your personal muse and create something powerful that will contribute to defining the image of our new company.
