Food & Drink
Honest to Goodness is a leading Australian wholesale supplier of organic wholefoods and natural products, ranging from retail grocery up to bulk ingredients. ‘FAIR FOOD’ is a brand new concept introduced by Honest to Goodness to apply against our range of ethically sourced products. We would like a design for a ‘FAIR FOOD’ trademark logo or icon, which will be able to be stamped across products (either on packaging or on product in bulk in bulk food store) to help communicate and represent the “fair” values that ingredient has. It would be a certification that that product fulfilled a list of criteria for “fairness in food supply” e.g. social benefits, fair prices paid at farm gate etc.
Other color requirements
Black, White, and/or PMS 2655, PMS 368
Through ‘FAIR FOOD’ we wish to reflect and explain the social benefit of fair trade, particularly with developing global communities and villages. The concept overall is to signify how developing these direct, honest and long-term supplier relationships provides opportunities for our partners, and results in a quality product with values to offer for our customers. FAIR FOOD REPRESENTS: • Compliance with international standards and laws • Social benefit for employees and their local community • Humane, healthy and safe working conditions • Fairness in trade • Transparency LOOK & FEEL: - Stamp-like aesthetic that is distinctive and unique - Reflective of our brand: ie. organic, natural, wholesome, bold - Concentrate more on the concept of the supply and trade of ethically sourced ingredients/products - Move away from the very literal aspect of food (no forks or cutlery) - Use the words “FAIR FOOD” in the design - A well aligned extension of our existing brand, packaging and brand elements Thanks & have fun with this design. We look forward to seeing what you come up with!

And then… they selected a winner!
Anut was a great partner in sharing a wide range of options at first, and then working quickly and diligently to narrow the options down to a winning logo. I like the level of abstraction utilized in the design, yet maintaining the core purpose that I shared early on in the process.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
