Karla put in a great deal of effort to design our logo. We greatly appreciated her time and dedication adjusting the logo until we found the perfect vision of our soon to be store. Thank you Karla.
The whole process was simple and straight forward and myself and my business partner were thrilled with the final design. We'd highly recommend, 99 designs and nothingelse.
John's design was original and innovative, he was very helpful and responsive to all our feedback, delivered everything we needed, would highly recommend John Sum
How The Shirt Butler started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
butlerbox or Butler Box
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We provide dry cleaning, laundry, ironing, shoe shine/repair, flower delivery, online package delivery and other services to residents of inner city upmarket apartment blocks through the use of lockers that we place in their building.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Our services are priced at the higher side of average and we are trying to promote a brand whose core values are high quality and high convenience. A good example of a similar business can be found at http://www.pinglocker.com
The logo will be used on website, lockers (black), vans (white), stationery, collection bags, dry cleaning film bags etc. Dry cleaning and laundry are the core services that drive the model and the initial services with others rolled out later. For that reason we like the colours blue, green and white, representing fresh, eco friendly and clean.(SEE UPDATE BELOW) Also like Black, White and Silver as traditional butler uniform colours as well as representing luxury. Also open to suggestions on colour.
UPDATE: Black and White now preferred as colours - going for the luxury look. Any design will need to show both positive and negative images and the logo will be used on both black and white backgrounds. Many thanks.
NEW UPDATE FOR SELECTED FINAL ROUND DESIGNERS: Thanks to all for some great ideas. It has become apparent as designs have developed that I want to try and incorporate some of the services we provide in the logo. Use of silhouette icons for some of our core services is encouraged (in order of importance) Dry Cleaning, Laundry, Ironing, Alterations, Shoe Shine/Repair, Flower Delivery, Package Delivery & Storage. Obviously the mind can only take in a certain amount of information when looking at a logo so perhaps 6 to 8 icons is the limit? The wording design "Butler Box" must be able to be separated to be able to stand alone as its own logo - for use where the icons can't fit or don't make sense. The logo will be used in both positive and negative so it will need to work in both formats. I like the idea of a square/rectangular border to portray the "box" / locker. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing some more excellent designs taking this update into account.
