paolo.ferraris got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Creative, clean, outstanding, hi end logo for my new wedding photography brand.

I'm rebuilding my wedding photography business in ITALY with a higher target level clients than before. Until now I served local clients with low budgets, but my new goal is to raise prices to mid-high end levels. The goal for me will be to attract foreign clients that comes in Italy to celebrate their marriage or eventually need an italian photographer to reach them in their own country. This is my (beta version) web site that now contains a placeholder logo (forget it, it's only a placeholder). www.paoloferraris.eu I show my website just to let you know the main place where I will put my new logo into. If you see the website structure you'll notice that NOW I sometimes need a bright logo, sometimes I need a dark one. If you think that a good logo should have only one color version I'll change the website structure to be able to show the logo itself ONLY on white (leaving a white bar above the full screen images). So don't feel yourself limited by this factor. I know I'm a male :-) but in wedding market the main decision comes from the future bride, so I think that the logo should be something with a femenine touch to specifically attract future brides. My wedding photography brand is people oriented, wants to capture their real feelings, the human being, joy, love, and genuine emotions. I'd really love something a bit different, creative, captivating with (if possible) a Paolo Ferraris wide version and a smaller PF version to use when a square format is preferable (square format does not mean that I like square shapes, only side*side same dimension for the smaller PF version). I love hand written names. I definitely don't like to have clichè elements inside my logo like cameras or iris (and any other thing that reminds to technical stuff) and at the moment I don't plan to use a slogan but ... maybe in the future I could change my mind and use something like "fine art stories for the modern bride" or a simpler "wedding stories", "wedding photography". I like simple graphic elements instead, maybe related to earth (flowers, leafs...). I don't have a specific color palette in mind, but I think that for my kind of business strong saturated colors are NOT the best choice. I'd really love that my new logo will be able to communicate that I'm different from my competitors, passionate, that I really love to tell love stories. I'd like a touch of WOW factor, but without kitsch solutions. The ideal logo for me should be clean, elegant, a bit different, hi end, easy to remember. I know it's a huge amount of things and ideas and I'm sorry about that; I know that your job is not easy at all and I really appreciate your patience and support. Please let me know if you need some additional information that I might have forgotten. Thank you very much !!!! Paolo
Other color requirements
I'm a bit confused about colors. I always used grayscale logos for my businesses, but maybe a touch of soft, earthy color palette could help to be different from my competitors ... feel free to help me with ideas. I'll love your inspiration and creativity :-) I hate pure black ;-)
