Creating an logo for an iOS social "missed connections" app for college students

Entertainment & The Arts
This is an app where students in college campuses post and browse "missed connections." For example, if someone catches your eye in the library, you might post "I saw you... sitting in the reading room of Widener in a bright red dress. You are so elegant and studious, and I wish I had had the courage to talk to you!" The app takes you to a newsfeed where you can read all the posts in your network. Target audience is college students (men and women). Generally the usage will be for entertainment purposes vs. actually making connections. The app is for iOS only, and will be vertically-oriented.
Logo types to explore
This content of this app is emotional, but the app is also intended to provide entertainment value. (So I would not call it a "dating app" because most of the fun comes from just reading the posts.) For the icon, I would like something very simple - just one or max two colors, and clean simple lines with little or no gradient, shading, or dimension. (very flat.) Ideally, I would take the symbol part of the logo and use that for the app icon, and, if possible, use the font of the text for the header inside the app. I'm including screenshots from the app to give a sense of the layout and color scheme, and also our current icon (an eye with a heart inside)- I love the idea of it, but worry that the heart is too feminine for an app that should appeal to both genders. Also, I don't want the symbol to look too "creepy" given the potential for that with an app called "i saw you" - so please avoid anything that would look stalker-ish!
