Shady Knoll Orchards & Distillery LLC is located on our family farm, Shady Knoll Farm, which we've owned for nearly 35 years in the historic Hudson River Valley of New York near the quaint town of Millbrook, New York. We have planted a new apple orchard with over 1800 trees and over 80 different varieties of cider and other apples, which will be used to make apple brandy in the French Calvados style as well as apple cider. We will also make bourbon and whiskeys using locally grown corn and other grains. Our objective is to reintroduce Americans to high quality, craft apple brandy and apple cider , which in Colonial times in America were the predominant drinks, utilizing our unique types and numbers of apple trees.
