About our firm: We are a husband and wife team of independent financial advisors. We have a boutique practice (it’s us plus some virtual assistants) helping professionals nationwide to build and maintain wealth through customized, comprehensive financial planning, with a large percentage of our clients in information technology-related positions. Target Market: Information technology professionals, ages 30-50, married or unmarried, with high levels of discretionary household income, who are comfortable with/value flexibility of virtual meetings and prefer to outsource tasks beyond their own skill sets. We have a niche in (and goal of further marketing to) single and double income households who do not have children by choice.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Light neutrals (Purity, balance and sophistication.) Blues (Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.) Dark neutrals (Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.)
We do business nationwide and even have overseas, ex-patriate clients for whom we manage investments here in the US. We have clients who have been with us for years with whom we’ve never been in the same State, let alone room. All of our clients either knew us personally when we started or were referred by someone they trust deeply. We have Goths, ex-pats, nuclear families, divorced female Fortune 100 executives, gay couples, small business owners and probably any number of other demographics as clients. What they all have in common is that they’re people who lack the time, tools and/or talent to tackle their finances on their own. For that, they trust us… and only us. Our relationship is “high trust” and requires us to know a lot about our clients’ hopes, dreams, fears and foibles. We are close friends with many of our clients and spend leisure time with them, too. Many of them just refer to our firm as "The Lauers." That said, we don’t want folksy, cartoony, funny, "your pals", etc. And, while we are very tech savvy and leverage technology heavily in our practice, we don’t want to look like a new finance app either. Don't want "LF", don't want upside down/backwards letters. We are city people, based in downtown Chicago, with a reputation as travelers. An upscale, sleek, cosmopolitan/urban feel for the logo appeals to us. Referencing our old logo in some way is ok, maybe even cool. But, we’re really not opposed at all to just scrapping it altogether and making a fresh start. Most of all, we want something that projects that we are serious about what we do, unusually competent in our field and uniquely committed to our clients. Need logo (or permutations) to work on print, business cards, website, email signatures and social media profiles.
