"Gran Hierro" is literally translated from Spanish as "Big Iron". In the old west, a "Big Iron" was often referencing a big pistol (typically an old western Colt 45). However, you can interpret it as an anvil, branding iron, sledgehammer, piece of farm equipment or other iron object (literal or abstract). It really depends on how you interpret "Big Iron" in the day to day life of a hard working organic farmer, cowboy or cattle rustler. We really want you to come up with your own interpretation of GRAN HIERRO. Even though you are using the translation of the Spanish word, the design should have a historic Mexican flare via the fonts used, script style, images, etc..... Most of our products have the colors black, gold, white and sometimes silver. Classic colors of the old west.
This will be phase one of two for our logo/branding. Upon selection of the logo, we will be holding a separate contest (phase two) for the bottle labeling design which will have specific additional text required by the Tequila industry.
Lastly, as a spin off from the main design, a circular (1.5" dia.) style complimentary logo will be also needed as part of the design yet able to stand alone as a coin or medal. Using only the "G" & the "H" of the brand along with the texts "Tequila" and "100% Agave Azul".
