How ses I started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Law Firm Logo
What’s your company slogan?
Law Offices of Scott E. Schwimer, a professional corporation (plus contact info in the same font)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am an entertainment attorney in Hollywood. I need a new logo design that is contemporary and noticeable with a flair (not a boring law firm logo). I don't mind a hint of color for emphasis. I'd like to people to say, "I like that logo!" and notice it. I don't want blind justice or scales or the typical lawyer stuff. I don't want cameras or film from the entertainment world. I would like to emphasize my initials "SES" since I'm a sole practioner, but the entire design will be "The Law Offices of Scott E. Schwimer, a professional corporation" along with the address, phone, email, etc. I'd like the SES to be the dominate figure, but I'm open to ideas. My last design was done in the 1980's and someone recently said, "you need a more contemporary logo, yours looks dated" and it does. I want something that speaks of today and will last a good 10 years without looking 2016. I'm going to use it for my letterhead, envelopes, cards, website, etc., so I want it to be printable and again, noticeable, not conservative, not boring, not cliche. I have examples of logos that I've found interesting in terms of elements and I'll try and attach here, but if not, please ask and I'll send via email. Thanks for your efforts and lets get me a great design I can enjoy for 10+ years! Thank you!
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
Let designers make suggestions:
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Be original, not cliche. I don't wear a suit and tie and so I don't want a logo that is buttoned up. I also don't want it more flamboyant than my clients, but I want people to recognize it, or look at my card and comment on it. I like color, but not a lot; perhaps an accent or two if it works. Remember that it will be printed on white paper, so don't surround the logo in black or a dark color for emphasis because it will have to stand on it's own. I've attached logos that appealed to me, but it might just be an aspect or element that caught my eye...DO NOT be compelled to copy it, be free and come up with something unique and memorable!
