How philipp-media started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We'll open a restaurant on our historic estate. The restaurant is located in the outbuildings of an old flour mill, right to a small river, with a beautiful terrace...like in paradise - pure nature. ;-) There are also a wine shop and a little farm shop. The buildings are around 250years old - partially built out of sandstone, brick, fachwerk (half-timbered), wood and other materials
the old mill is the parents' home of my grandma and the flour that was made here was called "Kinzigstolz" (kinzig=name of the small river / stolz=proud) - that´s why I chose this name for the restaurant. The interior will have the colours white and blue combined with wood and steel - really modern but classic/timeless. The food will be very seasonal, local...like at home of high quality.
Could imagine a logo with a symbol for the flour for example a wheat ear or something that reminds of grain combined with a symbol for the water - maybe a fish or waves? Because we also have a lot of fishermen around. The whole thing is...
...private and familiar, but also very professional
...traditional, but international
...pure nature, but high comfort
I do have a lot of pictures of the buildings and the original emblem of the flour packaging...if needed.
I'm really looking forward to your fantastic ideas!
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
-printing plates are original and MIRRORED!
- "OB" stands for Otto Boog, the former miller, should not show up in the new logo
-the restaurant will open in May 2017, so there are no interior pictures, just a kind of moodboard(collage) and old pictures
- titles of the pictures show what it´s on the picture - can you see the titles?
