We're looking for a design that reflects an environmental organization dedicated to water issues. Greens, blues, and whites should the color scheme, with a pictoral mark that evokes water, rivers, lakes, perhaps a lighthouse/sailing boat or another symbol of water-based infrastructure or activities.
We're casting a pretty wide net in terms of what we're looking for in this regard. Our focus is the Chesapeake Bay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesapeake_Bay). While it's not necessary that our logo specifically evoke Chesapeake, there may be some inspiration there.
All ideas are welcome as long as they effectively present a serious, environmental organization.
The logo will be most frequently exposed to people involved in federal and local government organizations and associations.
