Foterra Jewelry is a manufacturer and retailer of photographic art jewelry.  We use vivid landscape photographs to create our jewelry pieces. The images are framed in elegant, modern gold and silver shapes inspired by the photos. Our customers are professional and outdoorsy women aged 30-50 that value a unique, meaningful, and timeless item.

We are currently rebranding including a name change - please see our current website at LaneTannerjewelry.com for more info, product examples, and our current "vibe" which we'd like to carry on. We'd like to keep our logo black and white (grayscale) so not to distract from the jewelry. Our displays and materials are black and white, thus allowing the jewelry to pop. Our jewelry is rooted in vivid landscape photography. We create a product that is both experiential and tangible art. We are a visual and colorful brand that aims to refresh one’s awe for amazing moments in nature. We'd like to the logo to be rooted in the words "foterra jewelry". Just to clarify the name .... foterra = foto + terra ... latin roots of "Photo+earth". One idea is to play off a camera's aperture setting ... commonly referred to as the "F-stop" or "f-number". As a ratio, the f-stop has a mathematical definition (which you can google), but the setting on the camera is commonly indicated using a hooked f with the format f/N, where N is the numerical camera setting ( or "f-number" - can look up "f-number" on wikipedia). We were thinking the "f" of foterra could be prominent, and the "t" could be prominent as well, slashing through the logo like the slash dividing f/N .... of course the "-erra" of "foterra" would follow the slashing "t" to complete the word logo. We are not sure if we want the logo to just be the word "foterra", or "foterra jewelry". We are interested in incorporating the phrase "photo.earth.jewelry".
