This design is for the nameplate of a blog and e-mail newsletter. The topic of the blog and e-mail newsletter is workers’ compensation law in New York state. The blog and e-mail newsletter are designed to help the general public understand the legal remedies for injuries that happen while they are working (and some related topics). The nameplate will go in the upper left portion of a standard blog page, with an approximately 1:4 (height to width) aspect ratio.
Logo types to explore
Our target demographic are working people between the ages of 25 and 50. Examples of fields they might be in include construction, salon workers, medical aids, trucking industry. We're looking for something like a nameplate for a magazine, newspaper, or journal (keep in mind this is for a blog). It is intended to go on the upper left hand corder of the header for the blog. The look should be professional, but also friendly, welcoming, and maybe even charming. Think “helpful and warm.” Even though the word New York is not in the name of the blog, it is meant for people in New York State. Therefore, references to the state of New York are welcome, as are references to workplaces, safety, and "watching out" for things. Please avoid anything frightening, or any visual references to injury.
