We are new dessert company looking to create the perfect logo.
The name of our company is Suzy Q. Sweets. Although our desserts draw inspiration from old family recipes, we want a logo that is fresh, elegant, leaning to the modern side, bold and instantly recognizable -- not just another "cake" logo.
We'd like the logo to depict our flagship product, a cherry cheesecake.
We originally envisioned a character logo, our main chef -- our mom -- holding the pie, but were unable to get away from it looking too cartoonish. We're not opposed to this original idea, but only if we can get it right. Logo comps in previous attempts we didn't like can be provided if you want to see what we hated. Otherwise we've determined that a product focused logo with the company name might just be sufficient.
The dominant colors to include are red, pink, and white, with brown accents. We'd like to keep the color count to a minimum, if possible, unless it proves to be too limiting. It is important for the designer to keep in mind that we need versatility: this logo will appear on our web site, business cards, packaging, social media accounts, etc. So it must look good and be recognizable, digitally and in print, in color and in black and white and eventually, on a storefront sign (possibly in neon lights, e.g.)
Among the logo styles we like are the following, the first for it's simplicity and the rest for the same and the serif fonts used:
Do you design stuff like what's shown here?
We want to be awe-inspiring as well, since we are very keen on establishing the right brand identity: quality desserts made from fresh products.
