The Cafe/ Restaurant would be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, coffee and deserts. Also offering an array of sliced cold meats and cheese antipasto platters to share. Also providing an impressive selection of imported and local wine and beer. The cafe will be relaxed and inviting, with a family friendly feel. There will be a mixture of tables and chairs from smaller intimate seatings for people to have private conversations. To larger communal tables and couches to encourage socialising, so that people can be surrounded by others and be involved in the atmosphere of it all. There will also be male, female and disabled toilet facilities on site.
The retail shop will have the atmosphere of a typical family friendly Italian market and will sell a variety of small goods. It will offer a selection of imported and local produce such as different types of tomatoes, olive oil, mushrooms, pasta, cheese, biscuits and much more all which would be displayed. This is to enhance the dining experience and allow the clients to walk around and enjoy their coffee and do their shopping at the same time.
The coffee roasting side will be to create an insight to the process involved to get the raw green bean to its roasted state. Then to the cup of the customers allowing them to have freshly roasted coffee and be surrounded by the aromas of the freshly roasted coffee which will create an enjoyable experience. The customers would be able to enjoy watching the coffee production taking place. This will all be happening with an imported Italian roasting machine and silos to store the freshly roasted beans. There will be bags of different types of coffee beans all visible but only accessible by staff. With business roasting its coffee it will be able to provide different blends of coffee and to be able to adjust its blends to suit the demands and desires of its clientele. Furthermore allowing the customers to purchase a range of blends of freshly roasted coffee for them to take home and enjoy.
The coffee production would also have a wholesale part to the business which would only operate Monday to Friday between 8:00am to 5:00pm. The business wishes to be a small boutique roaster and only supply a small number of businesses.
The business looks to employ 8 - 10 employees between all aspects of the business.
