Create the next logo for La First Dates

We organize speed dating events and singles parties in the Los Angeles, CA, USA area. On our website men and women sign up mostly for speed dating events.

The design will be at www.lafirstdates.com. Please look at the current logo. We are looking for a clean, simple, romance-based logo to be used on our website and on print. On the website, the logo will be used on the same gradient background as is currently. So we will need a transparent version of the logo. A clean copy of the background over which the logo will go on the site can be found here: http://www.lafirstdates.com/images/header_1x.jpg - It is not necessary to submit your design on the background, but you can if you want to. In the end, we will use the logo not just on this background but also clear/white backgrounds for printed materials, etc. ... this background will only be used on the website. Since it is a dating site, using a heart may be a good idea. As well as anything else you could think of. A clean copy of the background over which the logo will go on the site can be found here: http://www.lafirstdates.com/images/header_1x.jpg Famous Los Angeles symbols are The Hollywood sign, the stars on Hollywood blvd, palm trees, etc. You may want to try something with these symbols in mind, but it is not necessary...It would be interesting. Look at our current New York events website at www.nyminutedating.com. It is similar to LaFirstDates. In the NY Minute Dating site a skyline is used in the Logo area because it symbolizes NY. While a skyline would not represent LA, maybe you can make a logo with the symbols that do represent LA. Again, we have no preference, and are completely open-minded.
