Who are you known as?
Fall Line Farms
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Fall Line Farms is an investment firm that purchases US farmland, leases it to highly-skilled farmers, and works with them to improve the productivity of the land through the latest technology and conservation agriculture practices. Our constituents are primarily farmers in the midwest and pacific northwest who are either interested in selling their farmland, or looking to grow their operations by leasing farmland from us.

The attached logo was something I did online in 5min with clipart, but we like the general feeling of it. Take-offs on that theme would be most welcome, and if there's a way to incorporate some agriculture symbolism (e.g. wheat, corn or tractor silhouette) in a subtle/tasteful way, that could be quite interesting too. We like the mountain theme portrayed by the "Fall Line" name, and some of the most beautiful farmland in the US is in places like Idaho and Montana where gently rolling fields are surrounded by snow-capped mountains in the distance. Having said that, feel free to explore other concepts that capture the farming/agriculture theme in a professional way.
We have two distinctly different audiences that we need to appeal to, and both must feel a high level of trust in us. On the one hand, we spend our days in the field working with farmers, typically 50-75 years old. On the other hand, we are a professional investment firm that raises its capital from university endowments, pension funds, and non-profit foundations. We want our logo to appeal to both the professional investment community as well as the farming community, so we favor clean, strong lines, and simplicity but nothing too stuffy or wall street-like.
