Anna198843 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create the next logo for DataMonster

Attack your school's data
We're an ed tech company that creates data visualizations for teachers. Our old logo was a cute dinosaur but we're changing our name (from Schoolzilla to DataMonster) so we're considering updating our logo as well. We want our monster to be cute but not TOO cutesy. A monster that incorporates some visual reference to data or nerdiness could be cool. A monster that's opening his mouth to eat something could be cool, because we talk about being "data hungry." We also call our power users "Data Heroes" so there may be some fun visual element referencing heroes, but that's optional. Our company colors are green, orange, and purple, so one of those colors would be good. Finally, the new monster cannot be a reptile for trademark reasons.
