Linda_Schultz got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create the next logo for Computer Aid, Inc. Learning Academy Charter School
Check out Linda_Schultz's Logo design contest…
The Computer Aid, Inc. Learning Academy Charter School (CAILACS) is a charter school being started by the IT services firm, Computer Aid, Inc. The charter school's mission is to present children with a forward thinking, technology driven, holistic learning experience so they may develop a strong mind, strong body, and strong values as well as essential life skills. The school will focus primarily on reading and math with opportunities for character development and leadership, volunteering, and extra enrichment through after school activities and field trips. Though technology is an important focal point, the school is not a "technical school". The technology aspect is the tool through which students will receive their education. State of the art classrooms, iPads, etc. Students will range from kindergarten to 8th grade. We are also targeting parents to not only show that we are a trust worthy organization that will provide an excellent education, but also because we want them to get involved with the schools community and volunteering.
Logo types to explore
Computer Aid, Inc. Learning Academy Charter School is a rather long name so feel free to use the acronym CAILACS in the logo. If you do use the acronym we only ask that you mask the "LACS" to the best of your ability. We would like it if the pronunciation of CAI "Lacks" is not obvious from the logo. We are required to keep the words "Charter School" part of the name. Keeping the CAI separate from the rest of school's name is just a suggestion, not necessarily a hard requirement. If you do, we would ask you keep the CAI as simple as your design can allow. I've attached the official Computer Aid Inc. logo to give you an idea. Please DO NOT use the official logo in the charter school logo and do not let it's aesthetic drive your logo designs. Again, keep in mind, this is NOT a technical school. While having technology incorporated into the logo design is fine, we do not want to send the message that students come to the school to learn technology specifically. We also do not want to see logos that look like they belong to a professional IT company. Even though that's our background we want this to be a logo to be for a school above anything else. For the colors we suggest using Blue #053868 but feel free to adjust based on the design and overall color scheme. The more you can capture aspects the school's mission in the logo, the better. And of course, be creative! Thanks again to all designers who submit a logo, we look forward to seeing them all!
