***IMPORTANT**** (Added 15th December 2012)
I would now like to ask designers to try something new here. Please
take a look at the following two images (I'm going to add these images
to the design brief in the "attach files" section):
Image 1: Leonardo DaVinci's Man
Image 2: Ballerina
I would be interested to see some designs which use either a
silhouette or solarized version of these images AND which cleverly show
the spine in some way. The human spine has 33 vertebrae so ideally there
would be 33 dots/circles which represent these.
Another possibility would be to find a male and female ballerina who are in a very dynamic pose and then work with that.
Whatever human form you decide to work with it must be in a very
dynamic and strong pose. I'm interested to see what you can come up with
***Original Brief***Given that the logo is for a chiropractor the spine in some way, shape or form needs to be incorporated. Many people come to see a chiropractor for symptomatic relief i.e. for relief of back or neck pain BUT chiropractic is about treating much more than the symptoms. The less pressure a person has on their nervous system the better they will function.
So the idea here to be expressed in the logo is that chiropractic care leads to optimum health, vitality and well-being. A healthy spine = a healthy and relaxed nervous system = a healthy body and mind etc.
Of the sample logos I have uploaded I really like the Rodrigues Chiropractic as it's simple, dynamic and encompasses the idea that a healthy spine = optimum health.
I also really like the two American Chiropractic logos. Some initial designs have come in which follow the style of the green American Chiropractic logo i.e. the one with leaves. If you go this route then I need you to be highly creative as that's a great design.
The chiropractor whose logo you are designing is Australian, so there is also the possibility there for a designer to use the first American Chiropractic Center logo as a springboard for ideas but including colours of the Australian flag or associated with Australia in some way.
I would love to see diversity in the designs. So far just green/leaf motive designs have come in but it would be great to see designs which use the other sample logos as a base for ideas.
