FEA RS = Finite Element Analysis of Residual Strength Please note that the winning design will have to be able to show "FEARS" as one word so that it is pronounced correctly, but also be able to differentiate between the "FEA" and the "RS" (perhaps colour/tone???) This global project relates to severely corroded/worn chain links in the context of mooring floating offshore production systems. It is a partner project to my previous contest "SCORCH JIP." Please note: The chain links are HUGE - they are used to hold oil and gas platforms and ships in place. The winning design will be similar in look and feel to the SCORCH Logo. I want to use the chain link icon as the common feature between the two projects/logos but, in the FEARS JIP, the chain link should be an image where the chain link is corroded - one half is the corroded chain link and the other technical drawing/analysis overlayed (the brightly coloured picture (mainly green) that has been uploaded).

I have mentioned using the colour image for the chain link, but this logo will also need to work as a black/white or greyscale image as well (understand that the colour and some of the detail will be lost).

Some letters are realy hard to join in nice monogram and this was such a case. It took me quite a while to came up with this "KIK" initials logo that is also ambigram. Modern and abstract, with earthly colors it is iconic and memorable and will be strong brand carrier.

Bold logo in corporate style for company managing industrial patents

I was inspired by classical corporate style for the mark but with customized high-tech typography, since that was a requirement and logical choice considering the industry branch. If you look at an individual element that forms the mark, it is also an abstraction of hand ("holding" the rights) but the overall shape is interlocked which represents the patents being secured and the whole process taken care of in one place. It also suggests rotational movement (the INNOVATION). The way or style in which this is all shaped is very precise and symmetrical - as technology in fact is.
