GE-Med (or Genève-Médecins) has grown and developed over the last 10 years, into a leader in its domain and a well-respected member of the medical community. Up until now, we have been known to both patients and professionals alike, as Genève-Médecins. There has been a growing tendency though, both within the company and the medical community, to refer us in a more familiar term – GE-Med. The capitals GE have a symbolic significance, in that they denote the abbreviation for the canton (state) of Geneva. This abbreviation is widely used as an identification of region within the country, its most obvious recognition, being that on the license plates of cars.
We would like to explore the possibilities of the notion of adopting of a new, more familiar reference to the company on a public scale. If possible, we ask designers to come up with several possibilities within the logo assortment. We hope that, with that visual, we will be better able to determine if the change is worth making.
