Medical & Pharmaceutical
We are physicians in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. We are starting a new program within our department to focus on Aerospace Medicine, which is the care of people in aviation and spaceflight environments. We conduct research in this arena, and have also started an innovative simulation course where we teach aerospace medicine to groups of medical professionals living in a simulated Mars environment in the Utah desert (See https://wms.org/conferences/mars/ for information on this course and an NBC News story here: https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/stretch-of-utah-desert-used-as-training-ground-for-mission-to-mars-1287614019881?v=raila& ). We would like a logo that we can use on our website and incorporate into a mission patch in the style of NASA mission patches (http://www.seasky.org/space-exploration/mission-patches-international-space-station.html). These patches would be sewn onto flight suits and also given to students as keepsakes after a course.
Other color requirements
Black R:0 G:0 B:0 Gold R:207 / G:184 / B:124 Please use these colors as they are University of Colorado colors. Ok to include others as appropriate.
The first file (UME certificate) shows a couple of current logos in use for other programs in our department (global health in the upper left and wilderness medicine in the upper right). We generally like the look of these logos, the incorporation of University of Colorado colors, and the use of the Rod of Aesclepius in a novel way. We would also like our logo to be of a similar style to maintain consistency across groups in the department. The second file (2MARS patch) attached is of another logo that we like and was designed for us by a friend. We like the incorporation of the rocket and plane, but needs more of a focus on the aviation/space environment. In addition, the colors are not in keeping with CU standards and there is indication of medicine or medical care.
