Understanding Super (http://www.understandingsuper.com) is a financial literacy education interactive video series that is both available on a website and on an app. The videos are infographic in nature (as demonstrated by the video on the home page of the website) and are designed to be simple and easy to understand.
The target audience for our app are 21 to about 50 year olds, working or about to start work.
We are looking for a logo that conveys education, knowledge, simplicity, and that: "A-ha! I get it now!" type feeling. The education we provide is about stripping away complexity, keeping language highly accessible, and focusing on 'Keep It Simple' ideas. As such, the type of logo we're looking for is largely minimalistic in style.
There are 3 important instructions to convey:
1) Everything you see on the Understanding Super website is simply a proof of concept, so please do NOT be guided by what currently exists, including both the logo and colour scheme.
2) The current website is based on educating people on the topic of superannuation (retirement). However, in the future, we want to broaden our scope to include more than superannuation. So the universal element must be 'Understanding' with an interchangeable element being 'Super'. For example, Understanding Tax, Understanding Shares, Understanding Investing, etc.
3) We want the logo to be separate to the words: "Understanding Super". In other words, please do not incorporate the letters U or S into the logo itself. We want Understanding Super to be in text, and next to it the logo representing knowledge, education, etc, etc.
