My client owns and operates a major medical centre in Australia. They have expanded their services into the specialist field of Skin Cancer Checks and they need a logo designed for the new company called 'Proactive Skin Check'.
Because of our climate, two out of every three Australians are likely to be diagnosed with a skin cancer by the time they are 70. So you can see how important this is to people's health in this country.
These days, doctors use what is called 'dermoscopy', a unique imaging / magnification system that allows the doctor to 'see-through' the top layer of skin and evaluate what is happening to the skin cells below (see attached image).
As a result we are looking for design executions that can be interpreted as having something to do with 'imaging' and / or or 'magnification'.
We have no fixed agenda regarding colour schemes or design, however we will be inclined to choose a logo that makes use of only 2 or 3 primary colours.
we will also be happy to consider:
a) A separate typeface and symbol execution, or
b) A logotype execution incorporating some kind of graphic.
Either way, designs that are contemporary in style and which interpret the close-up (magnified) nature of the skin examination will take precedence over others.
The overall space occupied by the logo should be practical for use in ALL scenarios, including online, brochures, stationery, etc. We are therefore seeking a compact logo shape.
In addition, the logo MUST work equally well in one colour as it does in full colour and be capable of being reversed out of a background solid colour or photo image.
In order to provide some further guidance on style, I am attaching a copy of an existing logo for another of their companies - Occ-Medic - which is well liked by management.
I look forward to receiving your submission. Good luck!
