Travis Szewczyk got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a Martial Arts logo with a Japanese aesthetic
Check out Travis Szewczyk's Logo design contest…
We teach Japanese karate and Japanese jujitsu, and want the clean aesthetic design that Japanese designs are known for. We like the L from level and 7 from seven to be part of the logo with the words below, if possible, but not a requirement. Please search behance (https://www.behance.net/collection/33332961/Karate-ideas) and like sites for examples of Japanese logos. Our target market is males, age 18-24. Please, no dragons, no rising suns, or designs that do not convey the Japanese aesthetics.
Other color requirements

A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Travis Szewczyk collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
