The winery is a small private operation on Grindstone Island in the St. Lawrence River. It is in the 1000 Islands region. A label which speaks to this Island and or the river environment makes some sense. As far as images/ documents that may be helpful google grindstone island its history and the 1000 islands.

The difficulty with this design was to express what "emperor of China" stands for - a luxurious asian buffet lunch and dinner. All packed in a modern designed logo, which is recognizable as a restaurant and can be understood at the first look. Kristanna was on the right path from the first time on, but always kept being creative and openminded for ideas and critics. Her fast respondance and working on many different versions on her own helped a lot in developing the logo-design - from the first contact to the last it was a professional work. Thanks for everything.
