The designer was extremely patient with me, fulfilling my requests in a very timely manner. Sent me multiple different designs and adjusting the design I loved until it was exactly what I was picturing. Would recommend to anyone!
How Winnoh started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Winnoh is a website designed to help consumers choose a financial advisor to assist them with financial planning or investing their money. Our main tool is a database of financial advisor profiles that consumers can search to find information on an advisor's skills and background. These profiles focus on ensuring that advisors answer questions that consumers need to ask a prospective advisor, as opposed to just being another outlet for a salespitch.
Our target audience is a younger adult demographic (25 to 40 yrs) who are looking for help managing their financial life, but need assistance navigating the murky waters of the banking and financial sectors where transparency and clarity are not always priorities.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Aquas: Empathy, compassion, clarity and precision.
Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.

*UPDATE* Please provide a version of any submission in white on a light blue background. Also, we are open to also exploring submissions where an image is incorporated into the letters of the word "Winnoh". See the brand "Harvest" below for an example of what we are referring to.
The brand name "Winnoh" is derived from the english word "winnow" which is an old agricultural term used to describe the use of an air current to separate the valuable grains and seeds from the worthless dirt and chaff after harvesting. This is what we want to do for our customers: help them ignore the information they don't need and focus on the key points that will help them make a good decision.
Logo should flow horizontally to fit into the header space at the top of our website (winnoh.com), with a graphic element that can be used on its own - for example as a social media icon for twitter.
Emphasis should be on clean and simple. Our focus is making things more transparent and easier to understand in an industry where that doesn’t always happen.
Although we are working with the financial sector, we probably are not looking for a logo that incorporates dollar signs ($). We want to emphasize trust, transparency and quality over money and finance.
