I am a holistic psychotherapist who specializes in couples therapy and also works with individuals. I love the metaphor of a tandem bicycle for couples counseling since it's very nature moves two separate individuals into collaboration rather than being solely focused on individual needs/desires. I am an avid cyclist so it reflects that aspect of myself as well. I have a passion for prevention and assisting newly wed and engaged couples into side-stepping the pitfalls that many couples fall into that lead to suffering, divorce, betrayal, etc. My niche is newly engaged or newly wed millenials. I am working on putting together a package for couples to have on their registry so that several sessions can be given as a wedding gift and the couple can start out their relationship with a solid foundation rather than showing up in my office years later on the brink of separation/divorce - which is often so painful for everyone. I believe that without healthy couples, we cannot have healthy kids/families so my work is really important to me. I also work with individuals for one on one therapy. In those cases, I become the second person in the tandem system so I like that this metaphor works w/ individual clients as well! I am bilingual - Spanish and I offer pro-bono services as much as possible - especially for people who have been through trauma.
