Create a logo for a restaurant & bar ("Old Iron Post") located in a historic downtown location.

Old Iron Post

Old Iron Post is a full service restaurant and bar that serves good American food. Old Iron Post is located in historic downtown Sherman, Texas, and the restaurant's name is actually a throw-back to an old saloon that was in downtown Sherman back in the 1800s.

The restaurant is in a building from the 1800s that is supported by a number of large iron posts (the restaurant's name has a dual meaning -- the historical connection to the old saloon and the iron posts in the building). These iron posts have very decorative capitals (see the attached images).

Our target audience is very diverse -- basically anyone that wants to enjoy a good meal or relax with a cold beverage. As a result, we're trying to create a very welcoming vibe that accommodates various demographics.

We want to help you create the best logo possible so if you have any questions, please ask.

Our name, building, and location all have historical significance. Therefore, we want our logo to have an old fashioned, vintage look.

We've included images of the building's iron posts and their capitals (i.e., the ornate tops of the posts).

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THESE IMAGES (or the example logos) in your designs.

We just want to provide as much context as possible to help you create interesting logo ideas. Again, if you have any questions, just ask.

Ideally, we're looking for a logo that will look great on signs, menus, the website, social media profiles, t-shirts, etc.
