Great fresh and modern design, flexible in applying changes. Very satisfied!
We're thrilled with the logo.
How vijay.mittal started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
BRAIN should be the acronym (stands for Biobehavioral Research, Assessment, and Intervention Network). We would like to see the acroym with and without it spelled out (either option might look good or it might look good to have the name below)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are an academic research organization doing research on youth at risk for serious mental illness. The goal of our research is to understand the neural basis of psychological problems/vulnerabilities and to understand how the brain changes in response to behavioral interventions, such as physical exercise and cognitive "brain" training (e.g. memory & attention exercises). We use cutting-edge neuroscience techniques, such as neuroimaging (e.g. fMRI). Our goal with the logo is to advertise to (and recruit) potential research participants- primarily young adults. However, it has to be somewhat mature, as parents need to be on board. Our research program develops and provides novel treatments for mental disorders so we would like something positive and uplifting associated with health and well being. It should also be eye catching, and help to develop/be the focal point of our brand. Ideally, someone would be able to look at it, and know, on some level, that the program is a place for innovative and collaborative treatments and great science. We are trying to capture youth attention, but be presentable/professional. We love ideas like putting the chicago skyline in the background or using it, or a brain, to tastefully, form the letters of the acronym. That said, we are really open to whatever innovative ideas that you can bring- if we knew what we wanted, we would not be doing this approach : )
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We would like to in some way incorporate Chicago- either with the lake or the skyline (city). We would also like to have a brain be the focal point. I am including my current logo (ADAPT) where the mountains in Colorado were the focal point as an example. I also am including cool logos I loved. If adding all of these different factors (the brain/Chicago/the Acronym, The spelled out title) looks silly, I would prefer to have simply a few features done well. It would be cool if we could include everything but I also will prioritize the best logo.
