Thanks Dephne* - love the logo you created for my startup. You nailed the brief and needed no revisions.
I was able to express my needs very well and he understood what I was asking him to do

How detcreative started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I mainly write advertising and marketing materials for companies and advertising agencies. I do not want a hokey pencil or anything having to do with writing in my logo. I am also an award-winning photographer, so my site will incorporate photography as well. My clients include big brands such as Getty Images, Starbucks, Adobe, etc. They expect to see sophisticated beautiful designs. Some of my work has been highly publicized, so your logo may get a fair amount of attention.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
White: Purity, Healing, Perfection, Clean, Virtue
Gray: Balance, Sophistication, Neutrality, Uncommitted
Dark Blue: Knowledge, Trust, Tranquility, Calm, Peace, Cool
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
No pencil, typewriter, or any hokey writing associations in the logo. I do live in Detroit, which may be incorporated, but I work internationally so up to you. I like the simple styles of the logos below, especially the b/w ones. I like the A cut in half. I've always pondered if that style could be brought into my logo, maybe in a J or the K.
