Luke.Concept did an exceptional job with the creative design that was very in-line with what I had in mind but didn't have the technical skills or artistic talent to create for myself. Amazing how well Luke was able to take the limited information I provided and create my vision. All requested modifications were done very quickly, and I am thrilled with the logo I received.
This was a unique approach that I hadn't thought about.

-As a point of reference our current logo can be viewed on our current website: http://www.hiea.org/ (Note: In addition to the logo, we will also redesign the website)
-Our website can be used as a reference to learn more about HIEA.
-The logo to be symbolic of Hamilton
-The logo should be clean and simple
-Something in the pictorial element or shape(s) within the logo should speak to what HIEA is
-The logo needs to work well on-line (web site) as well in print
-The logo needs to work well in Black&White when printed on a laser printer.
-We are not totally opposed to having two variations, of the logo, one for print and one for web. However one logo for both mediums is always more desirable.
-Use darker blue's and green's than our current logo. (they are too light in our current logo)
-We prefer a square or possibly slightly rectangular logo, but not a tall vertical logo as our current logo is.
-I've also uploaded some of the committee's ideas that they had sketched on paper (Please refer to the Logo-Ideas-Sketches.PDF file that was uploaded)
-It might be interesting to have/include a skyline in the bottom/background? (I uploaded a shutterstock photo for your reference)
-I uploaded the city of Hamilton Logo because the committee likes the H and the arches which are symbolic of our two bridges. - But I am not sure that in the end this is the most important element. Likely NOT.
I know we have thrown a lot of ideas at you, but we wanted to do a complete brain dump to allow you to narrow your focus to concepts that are of interest to us and allow you further explore our ideas.
