We are three friends from diverse backgrounds who met in winemaking school and then went on to separate paths in the wine industry before re-uniting to form Simpatico Cellars. We have a shared belief that wine, like people, is at its best when it’s honest and authentic and at its worst when airbrushed and manipulated. Our goal is to make compelling, unpretentious and accessible wines meant to be enjoyed at a table, shared amongst friends with conversation and story.
We live in the Pacific Northwest and want our wines and our branding to reflect this place we love so much. Washington is a singular place for wine grapes and we love its lengthy summer days, clear sunshine, dusty soil and ancient rocks. It’s filled by people who love to get their hands dirty, both in the earth and in their craft. Our wines are made for them. We love our stained hands during crush, our purple teeth during long days of blending trials and Washington’s shared community of pioneering, collegial winemakers and diverse wine lovers.
Our logo should be versatile enough to be used for everything from our website, business cards, labels, etc. Eye-catching, simple and classy. Although the name has Spanish origins, there’s no desire to incorporate any regional influence in the design, save for Pacific Northwest. We may look to alter colors for red and white wine labels. We are attracted to images that incorporate natural objects, and/or three of something, even abstractly.
At core we are three friends that enjoy each other and are passionate about making pure wines that can be easily and honestly enjoyed.
