mel3 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a logo for a company making unique and traditional pickles & krauts

Food & Drink
Slow Brine makes unique and traditional krauts and pickles using classic fermentation techniques. Our products appeal to consumers who care about responsibly sourced, organic food. My products are vegan, paleo, probiotic, raw, live foods, sold refrigerated in jars! I live in an agricultural area of coastal northern California, and source organic produce from local farmers.
I tend to appreciate clean / vintage-style design. I've also created a design inspiration board on Pinterest, which you can find here: https://www.pinterest.com/slowbrine/branding-inspiration/ However, please don't let this limit your designs--I appreciate your creative inspiration. As this contest moves forward, I am thinking more about not only literal representations of pickles and krauts (which I love, but don't want it to be limiting, one can pickle all sorts of things, carrots, beets, etc...), but am also thinking more figuratively. I live on the coast, use sea salt for pickling, and work with the farming community on the coast. The name Slow Brine is also evocative of the sea. How might this come through in a logo? Also, what is slow? Brining vegetables, and the fermentation process is slow. What else is slow. What might come to symbolize the brand? Thank you for your creativity and working with me through this process!
