Spinning Spoke is a mobile food unit powered by bike- both the mobility of the cart and the electric food equipment used to make real fruit ice cream. Spinning Spoke is more than another ice cream vendor. Sure, we do that, but more importantly we: 1. Create a network of local businesses being exposed at public events like farmer's markets, movies nights, concerts and more (think bike shops, ice cream makers, local fruit farmers). 2. We get families moving. You've get to get on the bike and ride! 3. We open discussions about local, fresh and healthy food; exercise; energy consumption; and urban design, specifically bike and pedestrian routes.

It's not required to use the slogan. The word creamery also doesn't need to be emphasized (or maybe has the ability to be cut) as eventually I may move beyond ice cream. The whole idea of the business is a bit whimsical and fun. One logo idea includes a bike pulling a food trailer with an umbrella doing a wheelie. But hey, you're the experts- I'm excited to see what you come up with! THe design of the cart is yet to be finalized but I'm picturing a small cart pulled by a classic looking bike with a big umbrella for shade. Think wood and chalkboards for decor. Floral prints and sundresses for "uniforms." I love vintage bikes/ components and fun bike types such as cruisers, tandems, and high wheels.
