Thank you so much for your entries so far. There are some really good designs and I appreciate you participating in the contest. I wanted to make a few comments on the real mission behind the logo.
We are looking for something ICONIC and your input at this juncture is valuable and critical. The Aloe plant is the center of that effort. It needs to be able to stand alone and represent the brand or be presented with the Aloe text. I'd like to draw your attention to some iconic brand logos that we admire.

In each case you know exactly who the imagery represents even without the associated brand name.
You must also consider that the Aloe plant will be the literal icon on the screens of mobile phones. So consider how that affects the representation. It needs to have enough contrast and pop off the screen and not require a user to spend precious time searching for the icon. Consider adding highlight colors or black to really provide this contrast.
Please spend time really thinking through the representation of the Aloe plant. The best designs so far are those that are really placing the plant as the center of the brand.
It is also important to understand the psychology of the consumer when first being presented with the brand. Our target market is parents that have a pressing medical concern for one of their children. You can expect that anxiety will be very high. Thus it is critical that the brand conveys a sense of relief, trust and confidence. The choice of green as the main color reflects the need to soothe and instill trust consumers during their time of urgent need. So when you are choosing the shade of green please consider this need.
We'll come back in future rounds and really nail down the text of the logo, but let's collectively spend some time on the representation of the Aloe plant itself.
