KiLife Kinesiology is a start up holistic kinesiology practice.
Holistic Kinesiology is a complementary therapy which combines Western science and Traditional Eastern philosophy to bring the body back to health.
It uses a mixture of natural therapies, counseling and muscle monitoring to identify and release stresses within the body. It looks at all levels of stress be it physical, emotional and/or spiritual.
As kinesiology encompasses all aspects of being it can be helpful in many areas of health and wellbeing including:
Stress & Anxiety
Together with counselling and a wide range of complementary therapies, kinesiology is an extremely effective but gentle therapy.
The target audience primarily is females 25+, mothers and their children. Secondary is males 25+, and the spouses of the mothers (i.e. families), and adults looking for performance enhancement in sport, work and life. The target audience will be open to alternate therapies, seeking a drug free alternative or wanting a holistic approach to health.
I have added a link of a logo that I like in conceptual terms. Its clean, simple and very clever in the way that the symbol reflects what the organisation does. That's what I'm looking for in a logo...
The logo also needs to promote trust, a gentle confidence/positivity and professionalism.
Symbols: not sure but I like the infinity symbol (figure 8) representing movement, balance and healing.
I'm receiving alot of submissions with green leaves on a circular stem for the symbol which is not very original...Tip...don't.
I listed some colour scheme ideas which I am attracted to but am open to the designers' creativity and new ideas. I like aquamarine or light green with brown/grey.
About the Name:
I'd like "KiLife" to eventually be my trademark so to have the focus as the logo. Plus a symbol to represent it. The use of the word "Kinesiology" needs to be subtle in the logo.
The word "Ki" in KiLife comes from the following:-
Qi in English is often spelled as chi. The Japanese form is ki.
Qi or 'Ki" is "life force" or simply put, just "energy" that is part of everything that exists.
Thus "Life" in KiLife signifies incorporating life force into ones life for life balance, health and wellbeing.
I chose "Ki" rather than Qi because it's the first two letters of Kinesiology.
And finally, I will be needing the logo also for business cards and a website banner following this contest finalisation:)
