I was extremely pleased with his designs right off the bat, he understood the vision and delivered a really great product. 5/5 would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a logo, especially if there's a mascot involved.
Super work and communication!

We help colleges inspire and engage potential donors, so they can raise more money and expand their donor base.
To accomplish this, we provide cutting edge software products and services to colleges designed to create meaningful connections with alumni. Our first product is a school-branded Crowdfunding platform that enables college development offices to showcase specific projects and organizations on campus, and allow donors to chip in and fund the ones they feel passionate about or connected to (e.g. chip in to help buy a new boat for the crew team, or contribute towards a specific prof’s research). Future products might tailor messages and images in e-mails to the individual interests or experiences of alumni in order to create a stronger emotional appeal and messages that resonate better than just a generic letter. Our goal is to make donors care so that they want to give.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Yellows (Energy, intellect, fun and youth.)
Dark neutrals (Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.)
Light neutrals (Purity, balance and sophistication.)

The brand personality should be friendly, approachable, people oriented, forward thinking and fresh.
To play off the name we would like to experiment with a logo including the name and an anthropomorphic bee icon that can be pulled off and used in other marketing materials. The bee should be a nice, friendly bee - more like a helper honeybee than a wasp.
We would like to use a combination of yellow, black and grey colors. The yellow should be very warm and perhaps a golden hue. We don't want the style to be too harsh, so perhaps we can experiment with a complimentary gray shade with small black accents. The Soul Cycle color scheme is a good example.
